Parents’ Place is a 28 year old non-profit family resource center dedicated to promoting a community commitment to healthy parenting, strengthening and supporting families and ensuring the well-being of children of all ages.

Parents’ Place offers classes, home visits, referrals, support groups, and supervised visitation to families throughout Cowlitz County.

Battles, Hassles, Tantrums, and Tears is a four week class on parental and children's anger. Learn different ways to handle conflict, calming techniques, age appropriate discipline techniques, and improve family communication. No childcare provided. If you need to bring children with you, bring snacks and something to keep them busy during class. Class offered Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8pm starting November 28.

We are offering Love and Logic: Adults Supporting Youth with Challenging Pasts this month. This six week class is for people raising or working with children who have experienced trauma and/or loss. For example: abuse, parents going through an ugly divorce, death of a close family member, family separation. This class uses video, group discussion, in class reading, and book work. $10 due on the first week for the workbook. Tuition is $20 per week per person, adjustable on request. No childcare available.

We are starting this class on Tuesday September 12 from 6:30-8:30pm. It is a four week class for people raising children newborn through 5yrs. old.
