Parents’ Place is a 28 year old non-profit family resource center dedicated to promoting a community commitment to healthy parenting, strengthening and supporting families and ensuring the well-being of children of all ages.
Parents’ Place offers classes, home visits, referrals, support groups, and supervised visitation to families throughout Cowlitz County.
We ususally start the fall with Love and Logic and that is what we are going to do. This five week class is appropriate for raising any age children. Class starts Tuesday September 15 from 6-8pm. The fee is $20 and it can be lowered if you request a reduced amount. If you need to bring children to class with you, bring snacks and something for them to do. Parents Place is offering Active Parenting the First Five Years in July. This four week class is for people raising children birth through five years old. Learn about ages and stages, brain development, age-appropriate discipline and consequences, kindergarten readiness, and more. There is a workbook that accompanies the class. It is $15 and is not required for successful completion of the class. The class fee is $20 per week, adjustable upon request. No childcare is provided.
